April 15th &16th

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for checking the blog. Sorry that we haven’t been able to post as frequently as we have before, but we have been so busy the last couple of days.

What God is doing in the lives of the people here is just simply amazing.

When we think of missions, our mind usually thinks about the poverty that we can physically see in Latin America. The needs in those countries are huge, but we as a team have never realized how much of a need there is in Europe. 

The people here have been extremely kind to us, and the team is enjoying the difference of culture. You should hear us trying to speak German….Yikes!

God is doing an incredible work in the local church where Austin and Shanda serve, but yet those that are outside of the building are so empty and lost. In Latin America you can see the physical poverty, here we have felt and seen the spiritual poverty of the people. We think that it is easier to cover it up here.

In certain places as you walk through the city you come across broken people who are numbing themselves by heavy alcohol and drug use. The best way to describe it is to think about a Zombie walking right in front of you. We see the enemy using different tools that provide an escape from reality. We have come across those who are also guarded at the idea that you simply care and refuse kindness from you due to the scars that were left by the circumstances from their past.  

Yet in the midst of all these things that we are describing to you, we are also seeing God use us as vessels to bring hope, love, and mercy to these people. After so many days of going to the streets to sing worship songs, doing dramas, and giving our testimonies we had an evangelistic service were 4 people came to know Christ and many renewed their commitment to Christ. I know that it may not seem huge, but trust me here that is a big deal.

We are seeing the Holy Spirit stir the leadership of this church and the members that serve here.   Abe preached a sermon about giving God control during the Sunday service and at the end many people responded to the altar call. Many came to the altar and wept before the Lord, others began to open up about certain issues in their lives, which meant that they were finally opening up to ask for God to heal them. In this area this is HUGE!

The testimonies are incredible and we could stay here and write and write and write all day long about what God specifically did. All we know is that God showed up and as a team we are not the same. God has used this trip to change us and to challenge us. God is so good!

Our trip is coming to end soon. Tomorrow we are taking an important journey that I can’t really explain to you, but I ask you to pray. Pray that God would use our trip tomorrow as a catalyst to deeply speak to us.

Street Evangelism before Evangelistic Service

We will truly miss our German friends. So glad that God was able to speak to them and use them this week.

Experiencing Stuttgart.

Things are going really great in Stuttgart so far.  First and foremost I want to apologize for not updating yesterday, but with doing all the ministry, we just didn't have the time to.  So this blog will include what has happened in the last two days. 

We have come to realize that the people of Stuttgart love to see us dance which has been one of the best attention getters on the streets during our street evangelism time which has opened up many doors for conversations.

Last night Abe shared his testimony at an evangelistic church service that was specifically for the people that we have been reaching out to on the streets.  We had a great turn out and saw two people commit their lives to Christ.  But even more than that, we are seeing God move within the deep conversations we have been able to have with the people.  

Today we started off really sad because today was the last day of the Experience Master's Commission week with our new German friends.  It has been really awesome to see God connect our hearts.  The team ministered through a special Coram Deo for the German students and we saw god's hand really move.  After the Coram Deo was over, with tears in our eyes, we said goodbye to our new german friends.  Please pray for them as they head back to their homes and take back what they have learned this week.  

After our German friends left, we decided to go experience Stuttgart.  The team traveled to the first TV Tower in the world that has now been converted into an observation tower and cafe.  It was one of the greatest experiences ever to see Stuttgart form so high up.  Once again we want to thank you fro all of your love and support.  Please continue to pray for us and more updates will follow.

April 12th

Today was a great day. First we started the day off with some street evangelism, were students sang songs on the streets and shared their testimonies. The people of Stuttgart seem to have such a need for the love of Jesus. When we share our testimonies people really listen and are blown away by the love and power of Christ. We then invited the people we talked to on the streets to Stuttgarts first ever "Sweet Home Alabama" dinner theatre.

The Dinner theatre was great and we had a good turn out. The Dinner theatre included a good homed southern meal, prepared by Shanda and Fern, while BMMC and some of the German students provided the entertainment. The people were so amazed at the whole concept and that it was all free. We played music, did some skits, and preformed a new drama for them that really ministered to them. We were able to connect with so many people.

Please continue to pray for us. Tomorrow we are heading to the streets of Stuttgart to do some major creative evangelism. We are going to invite them all to church service tonight where Abe will share his testimony and share the gospel. April 11th

Today has been an incredible day of meeting new friends and amazing ministry opportunities. The day started with Abe. He taught a class today to all the students and Fern Kincaid was able to share with the students afterwards about what God did in her son while he was in MC. The students from Germany were very receptive and grateful for all the teachings and personal testimonies.

After classes we took the gospel to the streets of Stuttgart. Blake, Kelsey, Casey and a guy from the local church named Koray, sang worship songs on the streets. Through music we were able to draw a huge crowd. In between each song, team members from BMMC shared their testimonies to strangers on the street. The people were really receptive yet very hesitant to respond, but we know that God used each testimony to speak the heart of each person that was listening. We where then able to invite them to tomorrows dinner theatre. 

After coming back from the street evangelism, we had the opportunity to create a children's service for the Kids Club that the church host here every Wednesday. With no money, we did what MC does best and made it happen. We decided to teach the kids about Noah's Arc and created costumes out of the cardboard from the boxes our air mattresses came in and random supplies we found. The kids had a blast and the church here was so inspired by the teams ability to create something out of nothing. 

Today has been a great day, very busy, but God has been so good to us. The ministry opportunities He has given us are amazing. Not only is god reaching the lost people of Stuttgart, but He is also inspiring His people by showing them new creative ways of how to do ministry. The team has been doing and everyone says hello. Please continue to pray for us. The jet lag has been a little tough to get over, but nothing that a good cup of German coffee can't cure. Thanks for all your support.

April 10th

Our first day here has been amazing. The church that Austin and Shanda serve with is a church that is committed to reaching out to the community through building relationships with the people of Stuttgart. Today we were able to build some relationships with new College students at the cook out. The church here has been hosting different events in order to find ways to bring college students into the church.  It was really awesome seeing new people come tonight. Kelsey also brought an amazing word tonight at the cook out and taught an amazing class in the morning to both BMMC and the students at the Experience MC. We are looking forward to seeing what tomorrow holds. Thanks for all your prayers and support. So after 30 hours of no sleep, it is time to get some rest. The team says hello. Good Night everyone!

Orientation with Austin and BMMC

Austin and Audrey officially begin the Experience MC week with words of inspiration.

Our very own Kelsey Quinn taught a class to all the students about developing a personal devotion time. She did an incredible job.

We invited College students to grill out on the church patio. We meet many new first timers and the food was delicious.

Kelsey gave a quick testimony to all the College students and encouraged them give all of themselves to the Lord and to go out and share the love of Jesus with those that do not know Him.

We had over 20 College students show up to the cook out. Tonight was an amazing night of building new friendships with all our German friends. We had a great time trying to teach them how to play "Psychiatrist" and "Never have I ever," but most importantly allowing the Lord to be in midst of our fellowship.

Just wanted to give you a quick update to let you know that we made it to Stuttgart safe and sound. The flight was long and very fun. Austin, Shanda, and Audrey Brown say hello.
